Ogletree Deakins’ Ted Speth Elected Chairman of the Ng2G Foundation

COLUMBIA, SC -- Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), the nation’s third-largest labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce that Ted Speth has been elected Chairman of the Navigating from Good to Great Foundation (Ng2G).  In his role, Speth will head the initiative developed by the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce designed to improve quality of life, spur economic development, and improve the city’s overall brand.

Navigating from Good to Great is a five-year initiative comprised of eight elements including, economic development, regional transportation, combating homelessness, expanding riverfront development, environmental and quality of life, hydrogen fuel cell research and development as an economic engine, intergovernmental cooperation, and workforce development.

Speth is the Managing Shareholder of Ogletree Deakins’ Columbia office.  In addition to his leadership role, he concentrates his practice in employment-related litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States.  Speth also advises clients in the complex area of disability law, employment contracts, technology in the workplace, and workforce reorganization.  Speth also provides training and preventive advice to employers in an effort to resolve potential employment-related legal matters before the matters escalate into legal actions.
